It's me again

My website (jasoncurtman . com) will be up and operational June 30th. I see by my webtracker that the same individual keeps coming back and back - even though it says it will not be back up until the 30th! I applaud some people's persistence.

Remember the phrase, "Four Years" You will probably hear it again in the future.

Back again

Ok, so I let this blog die out for a while..

Reason:

Too much political junk going on in my life over the past few years. I'm not going to get into that right now. The more I try to defend myself and my honor (which I can by ALL means) the more my adversaries try to spread their lies about me.

So...That being said... I'm moving on. But this is my first blog about myself and my family so while I am working on my site I will keep my sporadic thoughts and ramblings documented at this local.

More to come later...probably.

Death in the family

January 21 - Wow....already this month is about over. We had a death in the family. Uncle Raymond passed away this last week. He will be missed. I did not know him very well. I've only met him a few times but my wife was close to him and still is with his wife, Aunt Margarette. Teresa is driving up tomorow to be with her. My MIL, Seth, and Teresa's brother - Allen, are going too. My dad met Uncle Raymond this last week and he will be preaching the funeral on Tuesday.

The police department is really stepping into the 21st Century. We now have a $25,000 surveillance kit, a police car video recording system, and even a laptop mounted in the car. My officer's have thanked me for acquiring the latter two items. They will really be used! We have had the car camera system for two days and already it has been used to protect one officer from a possible fabricated complaint (I'm expecting a complaint but don't have it yet) and to record a DWI arrest. Who knows maybe in the near future you may see one of us on Court TV...probably not. :)

Dig them long johns out!

I use to be so talkative! What happened? I stepped away from recording for a while but now I want to get back into it. I'm thinking of producing a radio program to be broadcast on Easter. The concept of the program is: "The Curtman Family Easter Special" So many folks in our family are musically inclined. I spoke with my dad about this yesterday and he thought it would be a great idea. May even do one for July 4th, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

It sure is getting colder. I need to get some more long sleeve shirts. I'm gonna dig my long johns out of the drawer too!

WHERE HAVE I BEEN ???

It's been a long long time since I last posted. Too long, I know. A whole lot has happened in the last year. I am now the Chief of Police here at home. I have nine staff members under me. Seth and Brent are getting older...and wiser...I like to think. Brent is now 15 and Seth will be a whopping 5 in February. Bloomfield has been busy lately...here are some links as to some of my recent activities:

John Ashcroft, Gospel Music and Speeding Tickets

Well, I know I keep putting off this Blog thing and I guess it's time to update it. I have been ill again....situational hypertension is what the Doc called it. A few other things added to it. Brent just got back from church camp. He had a good time. My dad is supposed to call me this morning. We are going to meet in Sikeston. He is on his way back from preaching a revival in Mississippi. My website @ www.soundclick.com/jaycurtman is doing well. I have had about 90 full downloads from the music page this month alone.

My neighbor Joe and his wife, Nikki just had a baby boy. He sure is proud. Joe is 21 yrs old and this is their first!

Do you like 70's Vintage Gospel Music? Are you a John Ashcroft fan? I do not support this website but I do love some of the music found on this page....check it out?
John Ashcroft & Max Bacon / TRUTH

I recently took up walking - 1st part of June. I bought a hydration pack and a little RCA Lyra MP3 player. I have lost a few pounds and gotten a LOT of energy.

I am also now a reserve police officer for Bloomfield. I am going to try to take a firearms instructor course this fall. I have written 2 traffic tickets since I started up. One for 43 MPH in a 25 zone and one for 47/25. I am not big on writting traffic tickets but these were in a residential area where kids were playing.
